In Coquitlam you’ll find a variety of sport and cultural amenities, 133 km of maintained trail network, 2466 acres of Municipal Park land, and Pinecone Burke Provincial park which is going through a master planning process.

Most known parks in Coquitlam are:

  • Lafarge Lake Park – Firstly, the park offers visitors a loop trail for walks, lawn meadows for picnic and fishing opportunities in the lake, stocked with rainbow trout. Secondly, the park is home for the TD Community Plaza, the amphitheatre being the focal point for large community events, festivals and performances throughout the year.  Here is where you’ll find Coquitlam’s largest sport facility, the Percy Perry track and field stadium. Besides, the list continues with 6 sand volleyball, 8 lit tennis and one basketball courts, baseball and softball diamonds and many other outdoor fitness equipment and other active play amenities like playground, skateboard bowl, spray park, table tennis, etc.
  • Mundy Park – 178 hectare park and trail system in a rare urban forest. Lost lake is the home of endangered Western Painted Turtles.
  • Como Lake Park – one km lakeside loop trail for a quiet walk, open grass area, picnic tables, views in every season. It’s a place for fishing enthusiasts of all ages.
  • Coquitlam Crunch Trail – popular fitness challenge! 2.2 km climb that extends to the top of Westwood Plateau, features two sets of 890 steps.
  • Crystal Falls – a well-shaded, straight walk along Coquitlam River. There are bears in the area.
  • Blue Mountain Park – is one of the cities original parks, with a beautiful urban forest & a network of paths for walks.
  • Minnekhada Regional Park – 200 hectares in size, with lots of trails, a perfect place to watch wildlife.
  • Pinecone Burke Provincial Park – is going through a master planning process now, most of the park is wilderness.
