Port Coquitlam is a great place to raise a family, with numerous parks, golf courses, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sports fields, tennis courts and picnic shelters.

Most popular parks in Port Coquitlam are:

• PoCo Trail – 24 km, best known for walks & bike rides.
• Colony Farm Regional Park – lowland marsh, sanctuary for birds and wildlife.
• Veterans Park – Small park in the city center, village-like atmosphere with shops, restaurants and coffees.
• Gates Park – sports fields, dog area, walking trail along Coquitlam river
• Lions Park – great neighborhood park with playgrounds, picnic tables, green space.
• Peace Park – very peaceful trail along the river in industrial area.
• Blakeburn Lagoons Park – wonderful for a walk around the lagoons with a chance to spot birds and other wildlife.
