Langley it is actually two places in one. On the one hand, you have the township of Langley: a 308-square-kilometer district municipality with a storied past, playing a historic role in fur trading, the gold rush, and beyond. On the other hand, there’s the tiny, 10-square-kilometer City of Langley – a vibrant urban center with plenty of things to do.
Most popular attractions:
- Fort Langley – National Historic Site of Canada, features a variety of museum, shops, restaurants, art galleries, parks and iconic Community Hall.
- Campbell Valley Regional Park – great set of trails all year round, picnic tables for families or large groups.
- Derby Reach Regional Park – has lots of picnic areas, enjoy a campfire. Interior of the park is 4 km loop trail through the forest. Dog off-leash area.
- Aldergrove Park – at the border with Aldergrove, easy trails, scenic landscape, and multiple picnic areas
- Fort to Fort Trail – 2.5 hours walk, 8 km round trip. Connects Derby Reach Regional Park to Fort Langley site.
- Williams Park – extensive picnic areas, covered and uncovered
- Brae Island Regional Park – walking trail with scenic views of the Fraser River and costal mountain range
- Sendall Gardens – small botanical garden with a trail, duck ponds.
