White Rock Recreation and Culture offer a selection of indoor and outdoor recreation and culture programs for all ages, including group fitness, day hikes, yoga, music, and dance. The City of White Rock features over 80 acres of park land.
White Rock Pier & Promenade
White Rock’s waterfront is centred around its iconic pier and promenade, with beach access, ocean views, restaurants and cafés along Marine Drive. It is one of the area’s best-known places for walking, sunsets and views across Semiahmoo Bay.
Centennial Park
Centennial Park is one of White Rock’s major recreation areas, offering sports fields, a track, playgrounds, tennis facilities and other community amenities.
Ruth Johnson Park & Trails
Ruth Johnson Park offers wooded trails, mature trees and a quieter natural setting within White Rock, providing a contrast to the busier waterfront.
Crescent Beach
Crescent Beach in South Surrey is known for its beach, swimming, sailing, waterfront walks and relaxed village atmosphere. It is one of the area’s most distinctive coastal communities.
Blackie Spit Park
Blackie Spit at Crescent Beach offers views across Boundary Bay and Mud Bay, along with shoreline trails, picnic areas, wildlife habitat and open coastal scenery.
Peace Arch Provincial Park
Peace Arch Provincial Park surrounds the historic Peace Arch at the Canada–U.S. border and is known for its expansive lawns, gardens and international landmark.
Sunnyside Acres Urban Forest
Sunnyside Acres offers an extensive network of forested trails through protected second-growth woodland, making it one of South Surrey’s best-known natural recreation areas.

Uptown White Rock
Uptown White Rock combines shops, cafés, restaurants and everyday services with a walkable urban setting only minutes from the waterfront. Newer residential buildings sit alongside established neighbourhood streets, creating a different visual character from the beach below.
White Rock Waterfront
The waterfront is the visual heart of White Rock, with the pier, promenade, beach, Semiahmoo Bay and Marine Drive forming the community’s best-known landscape. Sunsets, changing tides and views toward the Gulf Islands make it one of the most photographed areas locally.
Crescent Beach
Crescent Beach has a quieter coastal character, with beach homes, shoreline walks, mature landscaping and a small village atmosphere. Nearby Blackie Spit adds expansive views, nature trails and wildlife habitat.
Ocean Park
Ocean Park is an established South Surrey neighbourhood known for mature trees, local shops, parks and proximity to the shoreline. Its residential streets and coastal setting give it a distinctly different feel from newer parts of South Surrey.
Grandview Heights
Grandview Heights represents the newer side of South Surrey, with contemporary residential development, shopping at Grandview Corners and Morgan Crossing, parks and expanding community amenities.
