West Vancouver is home to waterfront living, majestic mountains, tranquil evergreen forests and views, views, views!   Parks, beaches, trails and recreation opportunities exist everywhere you look.   Blessed indeed are those who can afford to call West Vancouver, with some of Canada’s most expensive real estate, home!

Cypress Mountain offers some of the most challenging skiing in the Lower Mainland.   It is a worthwhile alternative to Whistler if time is short!   During the summer months, there are many trails leading to stunning lookouts over Downtown Vancouver and Howe Sound.
Ambleside Park is the best known of the West Vancouver beachfront parks.   Lovely sand and pebble beaches, beautiful views across English Bay to Vancouver and to the Gulf Islands, playing fields, the West Vancouver SPCA and many other amenities are to be found here.
Centennial Seawalk offers a leisurely stroll along the waterfront from Ambleside Park to Dundarave Beach.   There is a separate walkway for off-leash dogs, paralleling the main walk!
Caulfield, Dundarave and Horseshoe Bay Parks offer quiet, scenic spots from which to contemplate the ever changing seas.
Lighthouse Park is well known to any mariner because of the Lighthouse at Point Atkinson.   Situated directly across from Point Grey, the lighthouse welcomes weary mariners to the sheltered waters of English Bay.  The Park has many walking trails leading to the lighthouse.
Whytecliff Park – a very scenic park looking out at Bowen Island.    The parking lot is at the top of the cliffs, and trails lead down to pebble and sand beaches.  There is a walkway to a small island offshore at low tide.
